Put mine on this past weekend, and i love the way it sounds now. it sounds like they should come stock in my opinion. Ran my machine for about 20 miles, no pod adjustment, and i think that it gave it a bit more low end. also, i didn't notice the plastic getting too warm. i also painted mine with some black heat treated spray paint. i don't like the "bling" look

With the tip are you guys leaving the spark arrestor on or off. I just ordered one and I need to know before it gets here.

It comes with a little flat piece of stainless screen wire. I put it in because I might ride somewhere that they check for them. I don't think the screen will make a huge amount of difference either way.

So I went out and pulled the stock tip out of my exhaut today to see how loud it was. Can any one tell me if this is about how loud the grizzly is with the ebay tip on there?

GG that is just about what it sounds like. The only difference will be the little spark arrestor screen that comes with the tip. The sound is also directed down by the angle of the tip so the perception of the sound is a little different from the open muffler. I think it sounds good without being loud.

I think that the end cap would be to loud for some places I ride but not others. Might buy one later and just swap back and forth.

I saw the powertip on ebay for sale for the Grizzly 700's. I was wondering what they sound like, and if they really help performance or not. Its only about $50.

It makes the grizz sound better. No real performance. That's about it.

Let me tell you. I have a 2006, 660 silver tip and I put in a twin air filter and a epi clutch kit but the front tires would not lift up but today I got my tip from ebay and what a difference. It's wheelie time.

I put a Twin-Air filter and flange plus a power tip on mine and I got quite a bit if not all of my power back when I added my 27" 589's, probably the 2 mods together will make the biggest difference. I am having my EPI Sport Utility kit installed as we speak. Can't wait to get it back and hopefully do some wheelies of my own............Irv

I just put the ebay tip on my machine today. Its a VERY nice sound:) However, it didn't come with a screen. Should I try to find one? What type of screen should I use if I wanted to make one to place in there?

I have had mine on for about 700 miles and I melted the plastic pretty bad. I dont know what I am going to do yet. I think I can get one with a more downward angle. Love the sound though!

In the video shown above it looks like these things shoot past the plastic. What do you think is causing the plastic to melt?

I've had mine 2R Tip on for almost two years now and over 1900 miles with NO melting.
If there is a cause it's due to location and weather conditions.
Only thing I can see is no wind, Grizzly parked while running for a long time so the exhuast isn't getting circulated. HEAT RISE'S
