General Discussion Welcome to General Discussion. This is a general forum where we talk about anything that is NON-GRIZZLY related. Please post in the appropriate forum that relates (we have engine forums, tire forums, accessory forums...and all the others too) to your topic. This way when someone (including us) comes here to look for answers, it will be a lot easier to find info. If you are posting something in general that you cant find a forum for, then this is the place to put it. Thanks for helping us try to get the info organized.

Its very expensive to put this motor in, if you want to keep 4wd. And it becomes chain driven, so in the mud and muck i think it would suffer.

To put this motor in, you need custom wiring, custom motor mounts, the motor, fuel pump, a new rear end, custom exhaust etc.

To put a can-am motor in, you get an RYR kit, a pre-fab harness (or mod old one), muzzy headers and exhaust (made for RYR). Its just a lot easier.

Now if your a duner, and dont need 4x4, these things are sweet.

For a 2 wheel drive rhino, its not too bad to do. 4WD just gets expensive. But there are still turbo busa and twin turbo busa rhinos out there. Those haul some serious ass.

i really dont see why yamaha doesnt put something more potent than the 700 in a rhino. they have the engine from their street bikes to do it so why not? granted yes it would be more expensive than to just continue building off the same platform, but the rhino is overdue for a case of whoop ass dropped into it.

2007 Grizzly 660aka yamajuice, uni air filter, dynajet stage 1 jet kit, 26" sedona ripsaws, yamamods torque monster clutch kit, ITP rims, 3000lb badland winch, quadboss rear trunk, home brew exhaust tip, homemade front aluminum skids, custom mounted handlebar hid light, custom dented front bumper from pulling out a rzr

yes an adaptation with a 4wd output.

the thing is .. even their 600 cc street bike engines would have double the hp than their 600cc atv motors.

they really need to just start adopting those same ways of making power into the UTV/atv scene.

and the reliability / life of those street bike motors seems to be much higher than a atv motor. sometimes it doesn't quite make sense.
