| General Discussion Welcome to General Discussion. This is a general forum where we talk about anything that is NON-GRIZZLY related.
Please post in the appropriate forum that relates (we have engine forums, tire forums, accessory forums...and all the others too) to your topic. This way when someone (including us) comes here to look for answers, it will be a lot easier to find info. If you are posting something in general that you cant find a forum for, then this is the place to put it.
Thanks for helping us try to get the info organized. |

yep only one window (gives me more wall space for storage). I wasnt going to put that one in either but at the last minute I decided to go ahead and put it in. I am how ever putting in 2 pieces of the clear roof panels for light.

I was in the roofing trade for a bit. Never encountered a window in the roof line which didn't eventually leak. Take "over precautions" measures during your install....
Good Luck!

I dont have any windows in mine....its dark as heck!
I think 1 window will be enough...I would probably run electrical if I made a really big shed.

I am using the plastic roofing material, it comes in different colors and clear or smoked. its like a metal roof but made out of plastic instead. I dont think I will ever use "sky lights" for any thing. my neighbor has them in her house and she has them all covered in blue tarps because they all leak.
this is the stuff I am using.

When we built our 12X14 shed, we did not put any windows in so no one could see in (to break in + steal) and so we had more wall space. Instead we managed to get a free sky light, and put it in. Best choice we ever made. You usually dont put much stuff in the roof anyway, so its a great source of light!

I dunno, I kind of like the tire swing. Nothing like hitting the tire swing after a good day of riding. Reinforces the "kid" still left in us. Your set up is real nice. Something to be proud of.

Why not put a window up high in the peak of the wall under the roof line ( one at each end ), it would keep the walls free and still let light in.

To get in or out you have to open the big door? So if your in there, the door will likely be open, so you'll have plenty of light, alleviating the need for another window..
By the way, you can see your pot plant just on the other side of the winder, might want to back that up some! lol j/k

yep, big doors the only way in or out (unless you count the window) I have 2 clear roof panels so they let in plenty of light. I will shoot some pics of them when I can so you can see what I am talking about.

That sure does let in plenty of light.
Will that hold up during your winter months with the snow load ?

3 inch drop in pitch for every 16 inches. but yes it should hold up fine for the 10" of snow we get here a year, if it even sticks to it.
