Happy Birthday USA

Well folks here we are 2009 and our country is another year older. Time to get the Flag out and show every one your pride, for me it's even more so. My father was born on the fourth of July back in 1932. Gone now for 4 years I miss him this time of year even more.
To all our men and women in the service, stay true, stay strong, stay safe.
Use this thread to give a shout out to every one and let us know what your plans are.
I hope you all have a great time this weekend and enjoy the family,BBQ, and remember all those fire works, well there for my Dad and the Country.
(Well thats what my dad always told me growing up)
God Bless America

Good post DD,

Here's to your Dad :::cheers:::. I raise a toast to my wife who's passed (AF Vet) and to my current flame who's in the AOR as we speak. I will spend my day off w/my kids missing their Mom and Jimi. This that we enjoy has been paid for...don't waste it.

Nope. I am a ways away from Cornell. I watch them right in front of my house. I live on the lake and they shoot them off right across the lake from me. Thats why everyone comes to my house on 4th of July

Heres wishing everyone a great 4th of July. As DD said, a big thanks to all the men and women still serving in the military. Having served myself I know what its like to be away from family this time of year. I salute you.

Myself, I will be spending the fourth honoring my Mom and Dad with new head stones at their final resting place. This is something that has been long over due, but life and such has always seemed to get in the way.

I do hope to get a ride in sometime this weekend, to reflect on all that this great country has given me.

Cheer's Jay I hope the whole weekend works in your favor.
Even in the darkest hour of our lives we can all be thankful of our Fore Fathers dedication and our Service Men and Women's sacrifice over the last 233 years.
