ok.....I just got the best toy ever.......(other than the Grizz)

A frikkin' flamethrower!!!!!

It's for burning out fence lines and weeds and whatnot. Works GREAT but a little loud....I had my ear protection on. As things "pop" when being burned, safety glasses are a must.

Made by Red Dragon, this model comes with a on/off leaver instead on the "always on" mode....highly recommended to pay a bit more for this one. In the photo, that is just the "flame-on" mode where just a little gas escaped to keep the flame going....once the leaver is depressed, it shoots out, but you can barely see it and the camera could not catch it either. I can get it to shoot out about 2+ feet.

I also chose to get the backpack set-up instead of the pull behind hand truck.

Works well and you get LOTS of looks from the neighbors. hahaha....all of them are re-evaluating how much they trust me when they see it and me in action with it.

My son modeled it for me....

WHAT COOL TOOL's DO YOU HAVE????
(helps you do work around the house, on the Grizz or at work)

I'm not sure that's a tool Muckboy; unless you install torch-on roofing for a living! :)-- Prob. coolest tool I have is an infrared thermometer- pretty common.

I have a Husky 51 and it cuts really nice. Runs hard and has never given me a lick of trouble.

I have a Husqvarna/Echo dealer a few miles from me. I get ALL my power equipment from him. I will ALWAYS buy local and not big-box ANY time I can...I look at his "real deal" Husky saws, then I go to Lowe's and look at the same ones, their bodies are different. They are cheaper made, for the masses.....and the price is CHEAPER at my dealer!!!!!! no kidding....
Look if you have the ability to do so!

I chose Stihl after training and becoming a sawer while firefighting a few years back, i know a guy who owns a small shop and get me stihl products for a really good price. the local BuildersMart sells Stihl products but everything is at least 100bucks more, and they dont service them. I have used a husky after my stihl and it was nice. the local CAL Ranch store sells em, and if i didnt have a close by Stihl dealer would prolly go with them

I have 1 of those flame throwers for melting ice also. I have to get an old style propane tank as the new style only allows a short blast and then goes out. something to do with a safety float in the tank.

I have been a mechanic for 30 yrs so I have all kinds of cool tools.

Look if you have the ability to do so!
Home depot, lowes, ect the corporate owned stores all have sub par stuff. Look at anything, wood, power tools, plumbing, ect. Companies make sub par products for them to sell cheaper. We've bought plumbing fixtures from home depot, expensive moen too, and had them rot from the inside out, cheap chinese junk metal. We bought another moen from a local plumbing supply, cost a bit more, but you can obviously tell the quality is better. Thats why i wont buy stuff from home depot that i want to have around for a while, would rather go to the source, pay a little more but your getting quality.

Coolest tool i have i think would be the chainsaw too, its a 27 year old echo evl440, 16" bar, and it still keeps going strong. My parents used it to clear our lot for the house. Starts up first pull every time.
