This is my first post to these forums. Just finished mounting a Warn XT3000 on my 2008 Grizzly 700 using the RR Racing 2" receiver system. Does anyone know the best location for mounting the Warn wireless remote receiver? There does not appear to be sufficient room under the seat and the wiring harness is too short to allow placing the receiver unit in the under seat storage box. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

i had one on my old 660 and mounted it under my seat. i dont know why the harness is too short. maybe the 700s are different than the 660s. welcome to the site, there is A LOT of knowledge to be had on here. someone will chime in and help you out, im sure! good luck and again, welcome!

I put mine under the front panel, zip tied to the aluminum bar. I shortened the wire harness to clean up all those long wires. Works great!

Thanks for the input. After playing around with different locations, I decided to mount it in the storage boxe under the seat. I picked up some suitable wire at the auto parts store and lengthened the harness.

I've been struggling with the same issue. I don't see how there is enough room to tie to the battery hold down bar. Gixerman, would you be able to post a picture of your installation?

Thank you,
David

Actually my first trip to the cliffs I needed it. I had to go up a ravine 30' .I just used the remote to drag it up the hill instead of climbing back down. I use it allot for property work as well, just the other day I winched a tree I was cutting out of a ditch so I could dice it up. Very handy just cutting and rolling it out to make more cuts without having to go back to the machine every time. Excellent accessory, for me at least.

I purchased the XT 30 for the synthetic rope and the remote came with it. If nothing else, I thought it looked too cool but it really is practical.

I have yet to use it up a cliff but I know it will happen and be very safe. I no longer need a friend to properly spool in after using the winch. The best and most practical (remote) is the spooling in part of it while you are watching to make sure your winch does not jam.

I had my XT30 delivered to the dealer and they installed it, but they lost the remote control and the receiver. They gave me a new one in the box, I now do not know how to connect the receiver to the winch while keeping the handlebar control. Any help?

Thanks
