700 Grizzly vs 700 Mud Pro

Well this past weekend I decided to satisfy my friend’s ego and pull my 2008 700 Grizzly against his brand new 700 Arctic Cat Mud Pro. Not wanting to break anything I took it pretty easy……at first. Being that his machine is about 200 lbs more I was moving backwards. Then I got on the gas, for once I was happy with the mega fat mudzilla’s! Once he started bouncing it was all over, especially when his front drive shaft snapped off. He’s been pretty quiet ever since.

What good is a "mud" edition factory quad if the axles are not upgraded. I wonder if the Can Am XMR has stronger axles.

The XMR runs gorilla axles stock. Something Yamaha should consider offering in some of their high end models.

For Yamaha to have "high end models," they'd have to have "low end models" too, which we all know they don't have!

Rephrase. Yamaha should consider offering this on their Special editions and actually make the quad special. Not just paint the plastics and call it special or tactical.

Challenge your buddy to a 100 mile trail ride in one day.....you will see why the Grizz still wins most rider shootouts.....and about the 80 mile point ask him that you would like to ride his and let him ride yours.....lol...

The bad part is no video and no pictures....I will get some next time. He already knows how much better the grizzly rides yet it kills him to admit it.
