Hey guys I have my 06 brute 750 at the dealers right now to get ready to trade it in and possibly purchase a new grizzly with the power sterring,I am just waiting for the dealer to get one in for me to test drive. I got the yamaha dvd and it looks like it is a great feature but we all know that dvd is to sell the grizzly. The brute force has hard steering and is a bit twitchy when on the gas in the tight stuff that is why it has to go. I have a kfx400 to zip around on and I now want a 4x4 comfy cruiser.I am not brand loyal and appreicaite your replys. thanks duff 750 (soon to be duff700)

You will miss the electric like or instant on power of the Brute. The Grizz has a more stretched out powerband. The Grizz is a faster machine in everything but straight line runs. If you pipe, filter, and put a fuel controller on it...the Grizz will hang in 300 feet drags with the Brute.
Yes...the power steering makes a BIG difference. I turned my buddy's 05 Brute around the other day and it felt harder to steer then my Grizz when my Grizz is in full diff lock. His Brute was in 2 wheel drive.
Nothing will never steer like a Grizz 700. Not until they get power steering anyways.

I will say, the first time I rode one, I didn't "notice" the power steering. It works so well and is so smooth, you don't feel anything turning or assisting you. It was only after I had been riding around the dealership parking lot for a bit that it hit me that I was making low speed maneuvers on a concrete parking lot and I wasn't having to crank on the steering and I wasn't feeling the tires scrubbing. It's easy to notice when you feel something new like an unusual shake or vibration, etc. but it's a lot harder to notice when something just isn't there.

Its really hard to believe. I actually take it for granted until I hop on someone else's machine that is not equipped with power steering. Then I can tell a huge difference.

I had an '05 BF 750. The difference is amazing. All day rides won't wear you out now. There is none of that tippy feeling that I had w/ the BF. My BF never ran right from Day 1. The engine was misassembled. Lawyers and negotiations got involved. The Grizz has better/more power than my BF.
I just think the Grizz is a better bike all around.
Get it and don't look back, You won't regret it.
BTW if you have any after market tires and wheels, they will bolt right up. Perfect fit, even the wheel offsets.

I rode a sport quad for some time, and just had to get used to having tired arms and fighting the steering all the time. Especially when trying to manuver through mud, etc. (I like to ride my quad in rough areas, hence my purchase of a Grizz!).
Like mentioned before, you don't notice the EPS usually. It's happily in the background doing it's thing. It IS noticeable in slow manuvers, and especially in off-camber siuations. It really allows you to steer nearly effortlessly.
My favorite part of it is that it also functions as a stabilizer. No more getting the bars yanked, or nearly yanked, out of your hands when hitting rough terrain, obstacles, etc. It really buffers the shock of the terrain and allows you to maintain positive control.

duff750 the power steering is totally amazing, you can ride for hours on end without your shoulders feeling like there going to fall off. Go ahead and make the purchase you won't regret it.
