Anyone have any idea how much gear oil goes in the front differential of '95 Big Bear 350? The only info I could find was in a 1998 Big Bear Owner's Manual that stated .2 qts. My experience is that it gets filled to the fill plug, but on this one the fill plug is really high on the housing and I'm concerned that it would be overfilled using that approach.
The one on my Grizzly 600 is up toward the top too, but it actually only took like 3/4 of a quart of gear oil if I remember right.

And use a good full synthetic gear lube. It's worth the couple extra bucks. It won't brake down as quick and has better shock resistance than dyno based gear oils. I'm using Redline, but Royal Purple and Amsoil are some good choices too.

My '06 700 takes 24 oz. in rear, and 22 oz. in front. And yes, fill to the edge of the fill hole.
Not in the rear of the 700. There is a check bolt on the right side of the case, you only fill thru the fill hole and when it comes out the side check hole that is full. Filling to the fillhole is way too much.
