4000k refers to color of the bulb. If your looking to improve lighting....go to an HID kit. The difference is stunning! Jet-off road makes a kit for the Grizzly and is plug and play. 6000k is what most guys have and there are no halogen bulbs that can compete with this bright white light. I have PIAA aux lights and use them when low level lighting conditions are desired.

You can't go wrong with an HID kit!

Sylvania SilverStar Ultras

8000K HID's in action...

Walmart lights

Please check out these threads for information on the many different types of lights that have been used on the Grizzly with out any problems.
When I typed in the word PIAA in the search I was given over 54 pages of threads to look thru where the word PIAA was used.
If you take the time to search it's amazing all you'll find.
Also I noticed that this is a second thread you've started on PIAA lights. Please try to work with in the thread that you already have, you can give it a bump if no one reply's to bring it up as a new post.
I will be merging these two threads so that there are not several different threads related to the same topic.
If you are having any trouble with the site please PM my self or any other Moderator and we will help.
Thank you for your question and while I don't know the answer I will google it and find some info.
You ofcourse can also do the same, and If you find out something that could be of help please don't hesitate to post the information for others.
I'll get back to you with a PM as soon as I can.

KELVIN and the KELVIN SCALE

This was copyed from Wikipedia a free site.

The kelvin (symbol: K) is a unit increment of temperature and is one of the seven SI base units. The Kelvin scale is a thermodynamic (absolute) temperature scale referenced to absolute zero, the theoretical absence of all thermal energy. By definition it is zero kelvins (0 K). The secondary reference point on the Kelvin scale is the triple point of water (0.01 degree Celsius). The Kelvin scale is the difference between these two reference points, with the kelvin defined as one 273.16th of this scale. The Kelvin scale and the kelvin are named after the Belfast-born physicist and engineer William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin (1824–1907), who wrote of the need for an "absolute thermometric scale". Unlike the degree Fahrenheit and degree Celsius, the kelvin is not referred to as a "degree", nor is it typeset with a degree symbol; that is, it is written K and not °K. The kelvin and the degree Celsius are often used together, as they have the same interval, and 0 kelvins is −273.15 degrees Celsius.

This article is about the unit of temperature. For other uses, see Kelvin (disambiguation).
Kelvin temperature conversion formulaefrom Kelvinto KelvinCelsius[°C] = [K] − 273.15[K] = [°C] + 273.15Fahrenheit[°F] = [K] × 95 − 459.67[K] = ([°F] + 459.67) × 59Rankine[°R] = [K] × 95[K] = [°R] × 59For temperature intervals rather than specific temperatures,
1 K = 1 °C = 1.8 °F = 1.8 R
Comparisons among various temperature scales
