This is a discussion on Stage one jet kit? within the Grizzly Engine & Transmission forums, part of the Grizzly Forums category; I'm thinking of get a Dynojet kit for my 660, but now that I look at them, some say Stage 1. What does this mean?...
For the Grizz Stage 1 is all they make. Stage 2 is more agressive. A Stage 2 for my Harley came w/a Dynoslide. The slide ic plastic to lighten it and make it rise faster. Although it's not an available option for a Grizz it would be nice. My main jet is 1 size larger than what came w/the kit. IMO the kit should have had that plus a couple more. I also had to run down a 45 pilot jet. You hear alot of people say you don't need a larger pilot, if it isn't changed it WILL be lean at idle. You'll get a new spring/needle w/a DJ kit and this offers the best mid-range available. DJ's have been knocked off by cheap tiawan copies so make sure you order straight from the DJ website. Below are my Grizz specs. My carb has a Minuni 45 pilot jet, DJ needle/spring set on 4th clip, and a DJ 165 main jet. She will go at that setting. My pipe offers less restriction and is louder than other pipes therefore a more restrictive pipe may get by w/a 160 DJ main jet included in the kit.
