hi guys tex here, ive been told many times that you cant run synthetic oil if you already used regular oil, is this right ,and if you can why should i.

You CAN switch to synthetic if you ran dino previously. Synthetic does not break down as fast from heat like dino oil does. It has a wider range of heat tolerance and dissipates heat better. The additives in the oil still do break down and the oil gets contaminated over time so you still need to change it regularly. Synthetic is also better for temps below freezing.
you can use any SAE 80API "GL-4" Hypoid Gear Oil. napa sells it. cheap money. change it at least once a year.
