Hey all,

I just purchased some Royal Purple Max-Gear Synthetic SAE 75w-140 that meets GL-4 and GL-5 specs. My question is, is anyone else using this gear oil in their differentials? If so, what are your opinions on this oil. I just want to make sure that I won't cause any issues using this gear oil.

....and yes, I've searched the website already for this question!!!

Not yet I haven't. But I do plan on using this oil on my next oil change. I also noticed that it said GL-4 and GL-5 compatible. I was thinking the bottle I looked at was a different wieght. More like a 75w-85. It's been awhile since I looked at it so I could be wrong.

ive been using royal purple diff fluid and engine oil for about 175 miles-so far no problems.

I ended up exchanging the gear oil for 75w-90...should be better for the cooler temps up here in Canada!
