Does anybody know how much horsepower a stock 2007 grizzly 700 f.i. makes? What is the easiest way to get more power without crazy engine mods? I have done the pod mod thing and to my surprise it does make a difference on the bottom end but I still want more power!! Thanks for looking!!

My title showed 46.9hp. Exhaust, TFI controller, better air filter, screen mod, airbox mod and clutch kit depending on tires you run. Ignition module when they finally come out with it in February. That will definatly will make a difference. I was thinking crazy engine mods were out of my league but you can get it done for less than a set of rims and tires. I would love to dyno mine and see what I have now.

i think 48hp... if you arleady have the pod mod then i'm not sure what else would help, but i think to get the full advantage of having the pod mod would be installing a larger bore piston and a more aggresive camshaft...

The Grizzly 700 is 47hp, according to every right up, from every mag out there. They all say the same, 47hp. On my factory crate, mine said 47.2. With my GYTR exhaust, I am probably 51-52hp.

Here is a list I found.

This should have little bearing on which quad you should pick, but it is good info nonetheless. This is from the 2007-2008 CA certifications. The HP numbers were measured at the crank, and not at the rear wheels. This does not take into account the loss of horsepower from the transmission and other moving parts involved in getting HP from the engine to the ground. This is not the be-all, end-all to which quad would be faster, more powerful, etc. BTW, some of these figures had to be converted from kilowatts to horsepower with an online conversion tool, so these may or may not be right. There's a few that seem to be wrong to me, but that's what the conversion states.

Listed highest to lowest:

Can-Am Outlander 800__61.7 hp
Can-Am Outlander 650__55.4 hp
Kawasaki BF750 Carb___50.1 hp
Sportsman 800_________50.1 hp
Kawasaki BF750 EFI____49.8 hp
