Well I got the griz back together today. Problem was, the engine brake would make a rumble noise then disengage around 10mph when decelerating.
I replaced the "one way" bearing, sanded the glaze off sheeves, and while I had it apart installed the 660/450 clutch weights. The first test drive proved that I had my engine braking back, and a lot more low end grunt. It does seem to have a dead spot in the midrange. This might just be my seat O Pants meter playing tricks on me.
So far I like the 660/450 mod. With 27 inch kenda executioners it sure did give it some power back.
I will try and get some more miles on it and post my results. That is if it would ever stop raining.
