Well after 15 hours of install time yesterday I got the kit in. It is zero degrees today and sleety out so I only took it for a quick rip. Anyways I did gain some bottom end but I have no top end at all. After 80kmh it falls on its face. I used to be able to do 110 on stock motor. I also thought I would get more bottom end then I did. It does wheelie in high from a stand while I am standing but the pull really does not feel that much stronger then where it was on stock cylinder and cam. Is there something I did wrong?

Also, what greese does everyone use for the rollers in the clutch?

I used ultramatic grease. It used to be called grizzly grease. Its the yami stuff.

Now onto the performance problem. The cam is gonna take a bit away from the very bottom end of the grizz. But should give you the top end. Now I assume you have fuel going to it. What are your settings or mapping like?

*edit*

Like I said on HL. Id suggest checking valve clearances. Id also check the plug. And like stated by another member, its gonna take a bit to break in. But id say you should still be able to hit 110km/h no problem with the kit, if thats what you had before. The kit will add power all over, the cam will take away the far end of the low scale a bit. So dont expect it to wheelie on command no pull. But it should take little effort to get it up in high.

So check valve clearances, plug, and proper fuel.

Manual says TDC to match up the I to the line. What if the I is and H? where do you line it up. From one line of the H to the the other is out out tooth for the timing. So what line do you go with?

I havent tore on of these down yet so I cant tell ya. As for the H, thats a tough one. Id guess centre would be your best bet but then again, best bet isnt right. It should only be a small line on the crank, to line up with an embosed mark. Hmmm. I cant find anything in my service manual

Yeah the service manual says I. It was at TDC on the back side of the H when we pulled it apart. That is how we put it back together. I got to check the valves again. They were a bit noisy tonight. It keeps stalling on start up.

I tell you it is very hard to type with a beagle humping your hand while typing.

ha ha ha

Well, just as a headsup the advanced timings in the KQ, make the TDC mark come around every two revolutions. If you just go off the mark, when you install the cam timing gear, it may or maynot line up. If it doesnt, you gotta go around again. And then it will line up. Perhaps this is what the deal is. Not sure how the Grizzlies are

you may have to adjusts the valves to accommodate that new cam, everything is new again, so you may have to do some adjustments. i just had mine apart and i had the same problem with timing marks, but it is the back mark.
