Well since i have the grizz apart, i figure i will do a good cleaning, clean the rad and flush the coolant system. I have a question though, can i use regular 50/50 prestone antifreeze, or do i need to use a special OHV coolant? Also, i plan on using water wetter, not sure i added it right last time, but is there a special procedure to adding water wetter to the cooling system? Thanks for your help.

Bro....just use Water Wetter for the entire coolant system. IT's not made as an additive, it's made to be THE coolant...it replaces the Prestone.....and I don't see the harm in the prestone....but I think Yami makes THEIR brand of fluid....

Hmm interesting, i thought water wetter was an additive. I did some searching on here, and heard alot of good about engine ice, so i may go that route. Going to do the 50/50 distilled water/vinigar solution to clean the system, make everything like new.

"WaterWetter® is a unique wetting agent for cooling systems which reduces coolant temperatures by as much as 30ºF. This liquid product can be used to provide rust and corrosion protection in plain water for racing engines, which provides much better heat transfer properties than glycol-based antifreeze. Or it can be added to new or used antifreeze to improve the heat transfer of ethylene and propylene glycol systems. Designed for modern aluminum, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze systems. Compatible with all antifreezes, including the latest long-life variations."

"Doubles the wetting ability of water "

Sounds like it is a additive/ substitute for antifreeze, but not an entire coolant system liquid replacement.

Notice it working better with water wetter?

Most of the water wetter, purple ice type additives will work with antifreeze, but they work the best when mixed with distilled water. You just have to remember to drain the cooling system and add antifreeze if it gets below freezing where you live. I've done a lot of experimenting with race cars using different brands and they all seem to work the same as far as temperature, but I haven't been able to run them long enough to check for lubrication properties between engine rebuilds.
Whichever one you use, it will definitely help.
