Broke CV housing
Well on my last camping trip I started to notice a poping noise coming from the rear CV's. This is what I found.
One good thing is that Yamaha is going to replace this part and the wheel bearing , All under warranty.

If there is no tear in the boot, they should replace it. Yamahas problem is the cage is very thick. Which means it doesnt break. rather the cup breaks first.

Not sure if this was a defective part or maybe the 2700 miles with my XTR's. In my case, I could hear a bad popping sound especially when I turned. The boot was not torn so that was not the cause. I think if I would have kept riding it could have got a lot more serious. I don't think there was anything to check. Once it cracks you will know it. Until then everything would look fine.

I wouldnt say its the tires. But what causes it is a lot of torque or HP being poured to the ground against the turn of the tires. Like having a tire stuck and hammering the throttle. Jumping the bike, getting the tires spinning, and doing a firm landing where the tires slow down quickly and the motor tries to push it. Also running in difflock, and turning on a good traction surface, and its puts a lot of pressure on the bike, cause both tires try to turn at the same speed, but one tire is taking a longer route (the outside tire), so the inside tire tends to stop and slide/skip. You can hear it on trucks etc with locked rears when they turn in the parking lot, you can hear the tires chirp. Since it was a front id lay it on turning scenario.
Now the on almost every other bike, the cage that hold the ball bearings on the race, are generally thinner, and those break before the cup. But the grizz has such thick cages, and thinner cups. So it breaks first.
