Grunt Clutch Kit Installed-Belt rubbing on Primary

Hey guys, I installed the Grunt Clutch weights on my 06 660 grizzly and after everything was put back, the belt is rubbing on the primary when the torque is slowing down.
I installed four weights and no shim.

When I use the throttle, the sound goes away but the belt seems to rub tight on it and makes a rubbing sound.

Does anyone know if this is normal with the new weights in, or should the belt have to be worn down a bit and the rubbing will then go away?

Thanks for the help.

Hey, the question may sound a bit weird, but what i mean is that it almost sounds like gears grinding when rpm's are slowing down. It could be anormal sound, because when i put the cover back on, you cant hardly hear it. I never ran it with the cover off, so wasnt sure of the sound. If anyone can give some insight, it is appreciated.

Without actually hearing the sound - it's hard for anyone to say yes or no.
I can tell you that with the cover off - it is a lot louder, and you hear the clutch sheaves engauge the belt + the air moving throught the sheave cover does sound a lot different than your used to.

Did you double check the torgue on the 22mm nut when your reoinstalled the sheave?
I believe it's supposed to be 75 ft. lbs.

Mine is doing the same thing and I believe it is the belt rubbing on the secondary, I also thought something was wrong but I think it is just the belt gripping in the pulley. put it in gear and push/ pull it the opposite way, meaning with the engine off put the trans in H and pull it backwards or put it in R and push it forward it sounds like the noise is coming from my secondary.

THanks guys, I believe that is all it was. I put the cover back on, and I cant hear the noise anymore. I never listened to the sound first with the cover off. It ran good all day and the Grunt weights seem to have put the low end power back.
