Hey, i just put a snorkel on my 2000, 600 Grizzly and it seems to stuimble when i go full throttle after idleing for a while.. Do i need to change the air/fuel mix screw or re-jet or is this just something that i have to live with?
Seems a little hard to get help with the 600 as most seem to have 660's or 700's. I have a 2001 600 and have done a few little things to improve its water resistance. Though it will still stumble going through water enough to generate steam. Anyway for what its worth...I would think from what i have read others say, that rejetting is a definete possibility. While your in there I'm sure you would consider rebuilding the carb. I'm assuming it did'nt do this before? I believe also that the inflow pipe size used is a critical factor. I would be interested in seeing how you did it. Got any pics you can post or message? Good luck.
I just got back from a couple hour ride and there was no problem at all. i think that when i adjusted the idle at the throttle control that fixed it from bogging down when taking off after sitting for a while having a beer. i seem to have fixed the bogging in water problem all together by snorkeling and filling all connections with di-electric grease. i'll see if my buddy can post some pics for ya, my camera is at the bottom of a water cross at the cottage.
