Help with grizzly purchase

After researching atv's for several weeks, I have decided
on a new grizzly 550 auto with power steering. I inked the
deal for a 2010 only to get a call telling me they could
not find it in green. My choice is to pay $400 more and
order a 2011 or $200 less and get a 2009.

I was told that the vehicles are identical for these three
years except for perhaps some minor tweaking.
Can anyone tell me if there are big differences between
these model years ? I have also noticed a few posts about
the 09 having exhaust noise problems.

Any and all comments appreciated

Thanks

Jim

Not sure where you are at or what the total price is, but I would go with the 09, and I think you and do better than $200.00 off.

As far as I am aware, there have been no changes from 09 and up. The exhaust noise is nothing more than a slight rattle at the tail section gasket, and does go away after a few good heat cycles.

If you plan on keeping it a while I would go with the 09, just knowing if your goin get rid of it in a year you might take a hit on trade or sale. From all I have read all three are identical ! My 09 made some odd noises till it was broke in, after twenty hours or so it all seems normal. by the way as far as price my dealer just had a sale where a 2010 550 eps was 6999 out the door if that helps ! work some tires in the deal maybe, the stock ones a pretty lame !

I'm in alaska, the land of high prices, and THAT seems high to me. I paid $8400 for a 09 700 in december. The 2010 700 was $8900 then. With EPS.

2010 and 2011 550 eps list for $8,699. I bought a 700 eps in May 08 in NY for $7,300 no tax.
You should at least get the 2010 for $1,000 below list with no set up and freight cost, and at least $1,500 off list for the 09. The web site says the 2011 green eps is available July 2010

Our local dealer (who has us by the shorthairs due to location) lists an '09 550 4X4 In Hunter Green (non EPS) for $6299. With EPS and in Metallic Blue, the price is listed at $7249. AND a 700 Camo (non EPS) for $7349. They've never had a good deal EVER and that's still cheaper than what you're talkin' about.
Personally, I'd keep lookin'. Use the NET to your advantage and find a better deal.

I found my deal for an 09 550 non eps for 5600 at Heinens in Osseo, MN. EPS was 6500, 700's non eps were 6700 and I don't remember what the 700 eps was going for. That was 6 months ago and I think they moved all of their 09s.

Heinens is a GREEAT dealer. Always cheap and well worth the drive if you can. I miss that place. I'd stop for a cold one right down the street from there after work when we lived in the Twin Cities. Small World!!

I have a friend that lives 20 miles from there, when I told him I was on the hunt he told me I should look there. I purchased from Afghanistan and had some family pick up from 3 hours south.

All the dealers around here wanted 1000 more, I could of gotten a decent deal on a 700 here in Montana for 7k but with their prices and having already planned a trip home to see the family, it was well worth it to purchase in Minnesota.

Great guys to deal with.
