are wolverines any good?

I have a 14 year old son who now rides a 300 sportsman( that I never should have bought!!!) I am thinking of getting him either a wolverine 450 or kodiak 450. will a wolverine take some small jumps and wheelies better that the kodiak? anybody know where the factory cvt intake and exh is at on the wolvy? we do some water and mud but mostly trails. thanks for your advice. I would also assume you can do the shim mod to the wolvy?

I have a 08 450, and it is a nice quad. It is almost the same as a 450 Griz/Kodiak, except it has the straight rear axle. The ride is about the same though as I recently found out.
