Tested and proven worthy to wear the Yamaha name. They break with abuse like anything else, but they don't break down...

No question, YES! Get the EPS.
With 100% certainty, I can tell you that you will regret it if you pass on the EPS....It MAKES the machine the best ATV...
There is a REASON all other ATV makers are scrambling to put EPS in their ATV's...that in itself should sell you!

I'd have to agree with the Mucker on this point and I bought my 08 Grizzly without EPS. I just couldn't swallow another $600 or so. I still love my ATV, but part of me wishes I'd got EPS. I think it would be money well spent. Still quite comfortable without it, but imagine the comfort with. I have not heard any news of the EPS system being at all problematic. I think they got it right. If you can afford the extra cash I'd say do it up right the first time. Also, give some thought of resale value when you make the decision. It will certainly be a selling-point.

I made a mistake and let the wife test ride what I wanted to buy (700 with eps). We now have 2 of them. 2300 combined kms, no problems and no regrets, go for it!!!!

Definitely no regrets here.

The EPS is well worth the money. If you are not going to get EPS please dont even test drive one because
if you do get one without EPS you will be riding a brand new Grizzly 700 and bitching the whole time because
you made a mistake when you did not get the EPS.

My Grizz is the first ATV I've owned with the EPS, (and I've owned a bunch), I will never buy another utility type 4x4 ATV that does not have the EPS. If and when it breaks, I'll fix it. I won't be without it. ----- EPS

You'll love the EPS. I had a little issue with the fuse holder rusting itself out, and it decided to quit on me, but all I did was replace the fuseholder, and almost 1k miles of hard mudding and it's still perfect. Makes it sooo easy to steer with one hand, even in 4x4. I love it.
