I wanted to see if anyone else here has had this problem, i searched but didnt see any. Got a grizz in the shop that if you turn right it locks up and is very stiff to turn untill you either stop or force it left. Now it only does it to the right and imonly doing it at slow speeds(under 10mph) because i dont wanna try it any faster. lol Also while its locked you can sometimes hear a few clunking sounds from area of PS but hard to get under there while riding. Customer has told me that a few times it ripped bars out of his hands going down road straight becuase it just jerked right. Anybody had this problem or might know where it might be coming from???

It seems like I remember reading that someone was having a problem unit repaired at their dealer that had stripped the gears / teeth on the eps. Possibly that may be your problem?

Sorry i wrote that wrong...when turning right it trys to lock up and force the bars left and if you just let it go it will turn almost full left on its on as long as you remain on gas. Also I disconnected all the connectors going to the motor and the other sensor just for grins and it still did same thing with no power to unit. Kinda scary to test drive lol

4 wheel drive on or off? maybe a bad bearing or something like that if it's doing it in 2 wheel drive?

Its the same in 2wd 4wd diff lock....doesnt matter. Im starting to think that maybe its not in the power steering just since it did it with no power going to the unit. Gonna get it up in the air and see if any bearings or anything are sticking

anytime somwone has had a pull problem, left or right., the culprit was not the unit. miner froze and we striped the gear , but it just didnt work any more. never pulled either way

I swore I remeber reading something like this before and it ended up being a wheel bearing.

If the atv does the same with or without the EPS connected then I doubt it is the EPS unit.

I would put money that the cv is binding cause a torn boot or a previous boot was torn and was not cleaned properly. Mine has done this and found a small hole in the boot that let very small amounts of dirt in. Driving straight down the road the bars ripped out of my hands. At low speeds the tires would lock in one direction.
