I rode in the snow last week on my 08/700. There is pressure on foot and hand lever for rear brakes, but no rear brake stopping. I can push the quad by hand with brake applied. Could something be frozen or locked up. It's in the 20's over here.

Mine freeze solid, next to no brakes in the rear until I put it in my neighbor's heated shop overnight then they are fine. Another problem I had was a chunk of ice under the brake pedal inside the plastic side cover was blocking the pedal movement. Chances are yours are frozen as neither handle or pedal is working...

My wife won't let me bring it into the living room through the sliding doors to thaw out so I have to take it to my neighbors shop. She just doesn't understand!!!!!

After snow riding I have to wait patiently for any day that gets even close to 0C the get it out into the driveway and use hot water for everything around the wheels (in containers from my kitchen - I don't have a fitting in my house that will take the garden hose!) and cold water from the garden hose for the majority of snow.
It takes me about 2 hours and I can tell you this; it is worth every minute just knowing that I can get on and ride again whenever I want

Mine 08/700 does the exact same thing. It seems the snow freezes them up. I can usually get mine working by pumping the brakes a few times or by dragging them a little till they start working. Hope this helps!

Ya I just bought a torpedo heater at the pawn shop for this exact reason. my brakes have been frozen since about dec. 1 and I couldnt stand it any more. Just thawed them out last week and what a great feeling being able to stop again!
