Choose several that you are interested in and pick the ones that look the best to you! I just dont see one tire in the same class being that much more superior than the others. Example: I went through this when i bought my Outlaws, it was the famous Outlaws vs Silverbacks debate............ In the end I learned that one tire would go through soupy mud better and the other was better in peanut butter mud! There is no perfect tire for every situation or else we would all have them!

I have 2 sets of BH originals. One set on a Prairie 360 and just installed a set on my Brute Force 750. They make such a huge difference in ride quality that I've promised myself i won't buy anything else from now on. Great traction without destroying the trail. Eliminate handlebar pull on off camber trails, and they're soft enough that they soak up a lot of the small hits in the trail. Tried a pair of the Duro brand tires that look like Big Horns on my Grizz to try to save money and that was a mistake. They're way to hard rubber. Can't wait to get a pair of BH's for the Grizz when the Duros wear out!!!

Don't sweat it.. Most are pretty good tires. What do you friends use, how do they like them, what have you seen on the trail, etc.... Old school answer, I've used Kenda Bear Claws on several ATV's, they are fairly light, they wear really well (4000 or more miles), have great rim/bead protection, they work well in snow, rocks and mud, and best of all they are very reasonably priced..

I saw an add for the Excel Slingshot tire in a dirt rag.. Looks burly.. Anyone running this tire?

Also.. Not much of an ATV expert, but I feel I know tires pretty well when it comes to vehicles.... I run 2 sets.. For my truck I run BFG A/Ts and a set up Cooper M/S studded tires for the winter... Trying to relate that knowledge back to ATVs is hard because I plan to take an ATV places I couldn't dream about getting my truck too......

AK Muddy and his riding buddies have found the stock Dunlops to be great in snow and ice.. As such I may stud the stock tires and get a set of something like mud lites for the other half of the year.... Sort of mirrors the thought pattern I went through setting up my truck... : ) Specific tires for the snow & ice and a good tire designed for my other uses the rest of the time... then again, what do I know! : )

GSH, I dumped the stockers after 1 ride. got a set of 27" Zillas (14" wheels). They are great in mud. Not so good on the trail or up rocks. Now I'm riding on 27" GBC Spartacus radials. All I can say is -OUTSTANDING. Whatever you get - buy radials - you'll be glad you did. I am.

Those Bajacross tires are definately a great looking all around tires. Nice sized lugs with good gaps. Should clean out real easy and still have enough flex in them to bite on rocks.

I want a set of Pit bulls, but the price of those Bajacross have me thinking...

you can`t go wrong with Pit Bull tires they will be the next top dog.I have the growlers and rockers. I havn`t had much time on the rockers yet but the growlers will hold their own and then some in all trail conditions. Look around at some of the reviews from people who have been testing tires for a long time and they say Pit Bull`s are the one.

growlers work good in the mud they are no outlaw but do good I think a little better than the zillas or the xtr`s I had. As far as size they run true to size maybe a little taller 1/2" . I have the 25.5`s and think they are great. I don`t do the mud thing any more I`m not 1 to go around it but will try to avoid the deep stuff.

26.5" Rockers come in tomorrow in most sizes.

27.5" Growlers are coming in a few weeks. The 26.5" Growler blueprints are in development right now.

I have a buddy that is getting some mounted up right now on his Grizzly 700. Once he gets them done we will be testing them out and reporting what we experience. He had to get them shipped up here from Seattle I believe(more than 2400 miles away) .

I agree with getting a "pitbull tire" dealer up here...we don't get access to all the cool tires that everyone else does. I can't find Maxxis Bighorn anywhere either.

once we test out the pitbulls I will decide if we are going to petition our local Yamaha dealer to get some in.
