Going with the Zillas! Opinions on rim color for blue Grizz?????
I've decided to go with the Zillas over the BHs due to the fact that I ride in a variety of stuff, including a good bit of mud. Now I need to choose the rim and size. I have a blue Grizz, so machined or black??? SS112, 212, or 108? 12" or 14"?? (FWIW, I'm leaning towards black 14" SS212 or 108...but I've read a lot of concerns with the 14" size.)
I think I'll go with the 27" Zillas unless someone gives me a real good reason to go the 28".
Sorry for so many questions. This should not be that difficult of a decision!!!!!
Thanks!
BTW, I plan to get them on next week and will post pics.

I think black rims on the blue Grizz look good. I also advocate for the 12 inch rim over the 14s. I have both and like the 12s better!!!

blue platoon m8 rims! and get the 28's in 12" rims. they are wider front and rear(back tires 11" wide= 27", 12" wide= 28"/front tires 9" wide= 27", 10" wide= 28") and are much thicker than the 27" zillas. i have had both and sold the 27's for the 28's! the 27's were good, but the 28's are ALOT better.(also have better rim guard)

Match that with some blue/black brush guards and a black HMF utility pipe and you would have one good looking grizz...and I am not even a real fan of the blue but I think that combo could win me over.

I have a camo grizz and love the black rims on it. Wouldn't go with anything else. That being said, my neighbor has a blue grizz with machined rims and it is awesome. I couldnt imagine his with black rims, because the machined looks so good. He has 14 inch type 7's and its unreal.

I think the 27" Zillas are perfect for the Grizzly. They fit like a glove. I also prefer a 12" diameter rim. My choice of color and style changes weekly.

My bro-in law has the ITP 112's with reapers on his blue 660 and they look real nice. A little black a little machined nice.

I have a blue grizz with 27" zillas also... I got the machined 12" ITP ss108 rims. I like the machined rims better than the black, but that is matter of opinion. I will try to get some pics up later.

I'm getting them from ATV Outfitters. I live in the Upstate of South Carolina, so they are located literally about 10 minutes down the road. I'll have to get back to you on the price for these (they quoted me on Big Horns this past weekend), but they can usually beat most retailers' prices. Good people up there, too.

I have a blue 700 grizz 27x12x14 zillas and ITP SS108s all the way around and I like the look and I have know problem with the rim guards. The 108s look better in 14 than in a 12.

Honestly, those are the ones that I have been leaning towards. I just like the combo of the machine and black. Deep down I want the 14", but I don't want to get something just for looks when the ride of the 12" would be much better.

Not to jack your thread but maybe my question can be answered here at the same time. I ave decided to go with a 12 inch itp rim but cant decide between the 27 or 28 inch Zilla. I know they will be about 1/2 shoter than the actual size thats stated. I just worry that the 28 inch tire will rub. Can anyone verify this with their setp? Thanks

Others can chime in, but based on everything I've read you should be fine with the 28s. I'm leaning towards the 27s but could be convinced otherwise.
