Can't remember exactly but a liter will cover front and rear for sure

Ya, each diff only holds a little more than approx. 0.2 of a litre I believe.
Not sure which quad or year you have, but the only other thing to check for is to make sure you don't have the internal rear brakes. If so you have to be careful which gear oil you use.
Also some Yamaha diffs have separate fill plugs and check level plugs.
So be careful or you could over fill your diff.
If you have a manual all this information is in there, and if not , the manuals are available for free on the Yamaha site I believe.
