Neutral Safety Switch

My Ride: I have a 2002 Big Bear 400 4X2.
Issue: Recently the neutral light stopped working. I can only start with the pull starter.

I have read over and over to check the neutral safety switch. Problem is I cant find it. All diagrams suck so far. A photo would be great.

I believe I should be able to start in gear with the brakes applied. This doesnt work either. The switch on the left handlebar lever pulls right out...plunger in or plunger out, it will not start in gear.

If neither seems to work, how can I override?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I would check the gear selector switch to see if it's in the correct place and NOT corroded... It may just need to be adjusted as if the light is not on it will not make a complete circuit thus no electric start. It may just need to be cleaned and then put Dielectric grease on the contacts...
