I purchased a set or front and rear guards a couple of weeks ago. After installation I noticed they were very close to touching the brake caliper. After talking to guys on Highlifter they said that theirs were close to but had no problems. Well I finall got to ride the grizz today and ofter .2 miles I notice theat their was metal to metal contact on the guard and the rubber bumper on the caliper is damaged. I am going to wait till after the first of the year to call Ricochet and see what they have to say about the problem. I am very dissapointed in the product so far though.

That's a bummer man, I'm keeping a close eye on mine, when I turn mine full lock it is very close but not touching. When I first installed mine it was touching the rubber bumper on the caliper, I moved it back as far as it would go it's not touching but pretty darn close. I might just grind a little off that end if it gives me any troubles.

I'll probably grind it off as well. It's unfortunate when you pay this much and have to modify it to fit though.

I'll see if I have time this weekend. I had taken them off cause I didn't want them to interfere until I could grind them down a little bit.

yeah... please take a pic... I've got the yami ones... but I don't like how they don't really seem to protect anything except for the a-arms themselves... The older yamaha ones were awesome, and protected much better than ricochet's did... (still liked the ricochet's body skids more than yami's on the 06's and earlier)

Curious to see how you guys fixed the problem. I just mounted a set on my 2008 Grizzly and I seem to have a little different problem. They are clear of the brake caliper, but touch the rubber bumper when at full turn.
Not sure if I should pull then off or check for wear after the first ride. All in all, I like the look of the product. Easy to install, but I don;t want it to mess up my ATV by using it.

I had a similar problem. Used a rubber hammer to make the adjustment. No problems since then

Loosen the mounts, reposition to perfect spot, tighten....done.

I had the same problem with the right side (when standing up) I adjusted the skid to the left as far as it would go and it still would barely push in that same rubber boot. I hit it a few times with a hammer and it seems to be fine. I'll check it again once I put some miles on it.
