Any MD, DE, PA folks?!?

Just wondering if there is many members from the mid atlantic area? My name is Ed and I am in Elkton, MD. Be nice to see where everyone rides around here since there isn't too many places to ride! Hoping to go try out Rock Run up in Altoona labor day weekend with the wife! I just saw there is quite a few state land places to ride in PA but says registered atv's. Anyone know how it works if you are out of state and unregistered? Maybe pays fee?

Hey Ed fellow marylander Im from western md (Garrett co.) so we have a few places to ride around here. Rock run is a nice place to take a day ride trip to but we hit up hatfield atleast once a year with PA riding places the reason it talks about registered wheeler is in PA you have to registure it and we dont in MD. and while your at rock run I recommend trail 4D its a blast.

Yeah hatfield is a blast! We have been a half dozen times or so down there. So are you saying we cannot ride the trails on the pa state grounds? Or we can ride just unregistered? I heard that rock run was decent for a day trip and that's all it's gonna be. Trying to take the wife riding with me to convince her we need to get her a wheeler for herself!

Hey man I'm Laurel Md. I do just about all my riding in PA cause when I ride in Maryland I'm usually riding dirty.

Just go to PA Natural Resources website and you can reg on line and get your tag in the mail. MD actually does have a registration process as well it's a little sticker but PA does not accept it because I heard MD didn't accept theres. Just get the PA one its better and more places to ride anyway.

If you're looking for a close place to ride and register go to Yamaha dealer in Gettysburg PA with your documents title, proof of insurance, and driver's lic. Reg and get your tags the same day then go up the road on Rt 30 and ride at Michaux State Park.

I dont know for sure about the state lands in pa about the registration, and its been atleast 2 or 3 years since I was at rock run last and I cant remember what we did about the registration. If your looking at rock run you might want to check out mountain ridge also its in berlin pa havent been there yet but we have been talking about heading up there 1 weekend. And I dont have to ask my wife to go to rock run shes been on me for the past year to go there just time hasnt been on my side.

Awesome! When I bought my griz the guy had lost the title on it but was the original owner. I bought it and just got a bill of sale. Im sure it would be a huge pain trying to get another title for it. Might have to try though!

Is that mountain ridge another riding park or is it a state lands place?

If I remember right you do need to be registered at Rock Run. Most of the places in PA even though they are private are some way sponsored or connected to the state. Check Rock Run's website to be sure.

Contact the original owner and ask them to get a duplicate title. Or pm me and I'll tell you other ways but it's a huge pain in Maryland. I'm going through it now with a classic vehicle.

From Rock Run Website:

Registration for your ATV, Dirtbike, or Side by Side

If you don't have a state registered ATV, Dirtbike, or Side by Side, you can purchase a Rock Run Registration Sticker for $10.00 that is good for the season!

* Rock Run will honor state registrations that reciprocate ours registration.

Awesome! I was raised in rising sun! Mines also an 05 black special edition. Had to get the carb done to get mine to run also. Guy who had it didn't ride it and it sat a ton. Plan on ordering up a set of wheels and tires for my griz on Friday!
