Houston Yamaha Motorsports Dealership

Please for your sake, avoid this place. They are located at this address:

9550 FM 1960 Rd W, Houston, TX 77070

I have attempted to deal with these people on 3 different occasions hoping for different results but it is the same every time. I drove to the other side of Houston to buy my new Grizzly 700 from Tejas Motorsports and they were great and gave me a better price. So my boot clamp on my cv boot slid off the cv boot dumping grease out on my 3 month old grizzly. I took it to Houston Yamaha Motorsports and the head service guy said my power-steering unit would likely need to be replaced! I wanted to ask him if he was an idiot! I said how long to replace the boot clamp and re-grease the joint and he said about 3 weeks! Plus told me warranty wouldn't likely cover it because i had a few long weeds and grass on my frame! He said the grass likely broke the clamp! I wish i was making this up! I left and drove to Tejas Motorsports where the service manager, mechanic and myself had multiple laughs over the service tech at Houston Yamaha Motorsports. They said they hear stuff like this all the time about Houston Yamaha Motorsports. Tejas Motorsports said its obviously a defect and will fix it immediately. They said it will be fixed in next 48 hours or sooner. So to my fellow Grizzly or Yamaha owners, for your sake, avoid Houston Yamaha Motorsports off FM1960. If you want a recommendation go to Tejas Motorsports. Ive had only good encounters at Tejas and their mechanics know what they are doing.

I often find myself wondering how people that stupid survive to make it to later years in life... isn't Darwinism suppose to eliminate these people or has their number just not came up yet???

i will tell you this about them..
I went in there to pick up some parts for my yz and asked when the new 07 yz's would be coming in.
They said never Yamaha doesn't sell 2 strokes anymore due to government regulations.

This was back in spring 2006.
It is now 2016 and they have 2 yz250 sitting in their show room.

I go in there and ask about the yz's every year and every year they say the same..never...yada yada yada.

Also avoid Texas Power Sports in Pasadena, i bought my grizz from there and that was the only ok'ish experience with them, their service side is a complete F'ing joke, i have a log thread about me dealing with them for some warranty issues.

they are located at 2901 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77502

maybe this would be a good thread topic, "Scumbag dealerships" or "dealerships to stay away from".....

Great to hear..
Need to have my tie rods and or ball joint replaced.
And my carb fixed.
I have pulled it apart and cleaned it twice but it leaks a little so it is gonna need a new float.
And i hate pulling and rebiulding the carb on this thing.
