Talking hi everybody im a proud new owner of a 2004 660 griz

just got this griz for 3000 and it needs some work. first off the bearings are shot, and the thing won't start. The guy i bought it from said it was the carb that needed a new needle and seat. It sat for a couple months i guess without running. Im thinking of buying a jet kit for it. anyone think this will fix my starting prob. But first im gona take the carb apart and look at it and while im down in there im going to adjust the valves to be sure that aint it.http://www.grizzlycentral.com/forum/...es/gcrules.gif

If it has a bad needle/seat check the oil for smell of gas. Change the oil if it smells like there's gas in it. Should change the oil anyway. Always shut of the fuel valve when hauling the bike or parking it for awhile. Get it running and have fun!

well i got the bike running by adjusting the float and cleaning the needle valve assembly, the part that the needle slides in and out on was binding up the needle and wasn't letting gas into the float bowl. I got it running but im having some problems with it when i hit the throttle off of idle. It shuts off or pops and sputters. So I ordered a carb rebuild kit. hopefully that will do the trick. But i don't have a fuel level gauge to set the fuel level. Is there a way to set the fuel level without the gauge? Also Im replacing the front wheel bearing and i got the hub off but it looks like the is an edge on both sides of the hub that wont let me tap the bearing out? Are any of you guys familiar with this scenario? And its just one bearing for one side right? I wana tap it out so I can go to the parts store and see if they can provide me with a bearing that will work.
