Intro thread
Hi all. My name is Don. I live in Perth, Western Australia and have a 2005 Grizzly Special Edition. I'm not one to dwell on these sites ordinarily however I thought the knowledge and feedback these groups provide could be of benefit. I'm a motor mechanic by trade though I now work as a lab. tech.
I may even have knowledge to offer the site and members.
Cheers
Don

donster, Good day mate and welcome to the Greatest Grizzly Brotherhood around. Having visited Perth in the mid 80's it struck as the perfect place for ATV use. We look forward to your knowledge, and may even be able to provide you with some. Enjoy your stay here, and all that is Grizzly.

Ah yes of course. There were plenty of US navy ships through here in the 80s-90s.
I have fitted track widening rims and semi paddle tyres as I mostly trek coastal sand dunes along the remote coast line that abounds here in Oz.

Yes there are many biting critters here in Oz. I believe Oz has ten of the top 12 most venomous snakes in the world. Throw in the funnel web spider (an anti venine [spelling???] developed only a decade or so back) and the far less dangerous red back spider as Oz' land based nasties. The oceans around Oz are home to the usual suspects such as sharks (Great Whites, Maco, Tiger, Hammerhead and Bronze Whalers) crocs in the far north and the less visible stinging sea critters such as blue bottles, blue ringed octapus, stone fish etc. Having said this no one I know has ever died from these creatures however heart disease, cancer, road accidents and suicides are the more likely methods of our demise.

I doubt it mate. The human is by far the most dangerous animal on the planet. There's a few million humans in L.A. so therefore it's a very dangerous place. I'll take my chances with the local snakes and spiders thanks. Anyway North America has a few scary critters too. Rattle snakes, Black widow spiders, cougars (both two and four legged) and bears.

I imagine the sound of a rattle snake is a very disconcerting experience let alone the possibility of a bite. All Australian snakes are silent ... unless they've had a few beers and the karaoke cranks up LOL
