I think it is a 5500 but not sure, I don't work in the pit, I work on electric motors, conveyors, etc. Yeah the 793D is the biggest truck we have @250 tons capacity (but they probably loadd 'em to 300.

I was a Goldstriker till a couple months ago, moved on to Cortez now.

Hey, I just noticed that you say that shovel has 3 1250HP electric motors. Just wondering what you mean by that? It's a hydraulic shovel, and if its a 5500 it has 2 Cummins engines puttin out about 3000hp and if its an 8000 its puttin out roughly 4000hp.

no I was talking about the picture with the pickup and the 3 vertical electric motors in the back ground. They are 1250 HP used for pumping barren cyanide solution up to the top of the leach pads.
