Nice pics, now that looks like fun. Its too bad you have more snow down there than we do here. We can see our grass.

So far so Good, but I only plowed 6" with it. I simply winch it IN (watch Your fingers). 20' is right on the money. Found it Wally- boating/fishing aisle. Works better then syn. or steel rope, IMO.
You might also work at plowing technique:
1) Do not winch to far up -this can cause to much tension and can either jam or break the rope, I use piece of EMT strapped to front rack
2) before raising the plow- back up a bit,
3) do not raise the blade while plowing.

Replaced my cable last year with synthetic but fear this will wear out at some point. I have been looking for exactly what you posted and did not think to look in the boat section of Wallyworld. We haven't had much snow lately and seeing your pics I kind of miss it. Hell who am I kidding looks like your having fun. Thanks for the tip.

I don`t think we`ve had 6" total all winter. I haven`t even hooked my plow up yet. It won`t upset me if I don`t have to plow all winter

We got 28 inches yesterday from the big storm that hit the mid atlantic. I ended up messing something up on the grizz 700. It started making a squelin noise when i gave it throttle. I assumed it was the belt, and i kept pushing it to the limit then it stopped. i'm hoping the belt just broke and it is not something more serious. Well now the fun part, i need to go out and finish shoveling. I hope to have it done by the time the super bowl starts.

It was great getting a nice snow here in PA. I live north west of Philadelphia so we only gor about 12-13" (only ) Got about 3 hours of riding in during the storm. It's always fun to rip around the neigborhoods and roads... Normally the cops would be chasing you down but with snow like this they could care less. Hit all the local towns and then off through some park trails. had to use Diff lock once and my winch so it was a good time I do wish we got the 32" that DC got but I will take the 12" and enjoy Some people hate these snows. I wish we got a storm every week in the winter. Enough to cover the roads is all I need. Hope everyone else enjoyed and gave their Grizz a workout

We got about 12-14" here. The wife and I went for 20 mile ride in the morning on the backroads before most were plowed. We then hooked up with some friends and hit some fields in the afternoon for about another 30 miles. X2 on a couple of these storms each month. this one worked out good with being on the weekend. I just wish it would have started earlier on Friday, so I could have hit the backroads on Friday night.

I live in the nwpa snow belt and go through this on average a couple time a week. We get 100+" a year and my 02 grizz does all the plowing. I switched to the syn. plow rope 2 yrs. ago and may have to replace it next season it works great. I had the same thing happen and alway's when you least want it to. I switched to syn. rope as well and will never go back to cable.
