Stopped at my Dealership today and was looking around. I started talking to my Uncle who works there. He was telling me that they had recieved an email from Yamaha the other day stating that there would be very limited production of Rhinos in the 2010 model year and that they were working on a few designs for the rhino He said something like they were working on a new steering design and steering wheel New seat belt system. He said production would be limited and a new revamped Rhino would launch around August 2010 and would most likely debut as a 2011 Model. Who knows what else they may do to revamp it but I did get that much info from them today and thought i would share it with everyone.

I hope Yamaha just comes out with a Rhino Sport model. A 50 inch wide model and keep the 686 FI single. Motors will show up in the Raptor...then the Grizzly....then the Rhino. I really believe Yamaha will be dropping the 450 and producing a 550 FI. I would put money on that. Either way I have no plans to ditch my little 450 for anything else. Thanks for sharing the info!

This info is correct.... I work at the parts counter at the local Yamaha shop and I saw this email myself....and if I remember correctly I dont think there will be any 2010 Rhinos

I would put money on the fact that there will not be a bigger engine than the 686 put in the Rhino any time soon. I would also put my money on a 550 Rhino.

The yamaha website does not list a 2010 rhino only the 2011. I read somewhere that the 2010 rhino was suppose to have powersteering but yamaha ran into some manufacturing troubles with that model. With the new can-am SxS coming out and the rzr 4 already on showroom floors yamaha will most likely come thru with something that is competitive. As far as discontinuing the 450 rhino and coming out with a 558 cc displacement rhino. I guess we will have to wait and see.
