I tried this in another forum, but haven't seen a response yet.... Thought Id try here. Anyone near Binghamton NY have favorite trails they ride locally? Public ones, preferably. I know this is kinda of a sore subject, as we pay registration fees for a vehicle and have relatively few places to ride. From what Ive read. But I'm hoping to find something closer than Tug Hill ! Lots of land up here, I'd think we'd have lots of choices! Any ideas are welcome !!! ----Kev
Thanks! Thats a good site, Ill keep googling for more. A lot of people think because I live in New York, that I am automatically near the city. Haha! Especially those on the left coast where I lived for 8 years! Asked my Why I would ever want to live in the city when I told em I was moving....Too funny.
Well Im as far west as u can go in Ny and I get all the time when I travel oh u from NYC hell no I like the country not the city and we all suffer in this state because of NYC!! Anyways Ny sucks for atv parks most have closed due to high insurances, state has to many rules and fees and people not making any money. Tall pines is near south central NY about 2 hours east and south of Buffalo not real close to me almost 3 hours for me and Majestic trails in PA is a lot nicer and 20 minutes closer so I go there. Tall pines is more flat mud when its wet mostly farm land but not real challenging at all but worth a trip out at least once. Try PA they will have many more trails and better mountains plus a lot friendlier to atvs!

Yeah I've rode Majestic Trails, but only ran the Tough Mudder at Tall Pine, never rode there.
I couldn't agree more about the trail in NYS! That's why I head north of the border. I've been all over Canada riding! Some unbelievable trails up there. If you ever get a chance to go hit the Sportsman Lodge in Sudbury Ontario.
There are two event places near you as well. Hallstead VFD has at least two events per year, and tar Hollow (hancock, NY) will have two was well. The first one is June 1, the second event will be the first or second week in October.

I live just outside of Binghamton, and really not too many places to ride. Back in the day, could ride all over the place, crossing roads and still be legal. Now that trails are blocked off from land owners, trails have been more than cut in half. Now that hunting season is over, gonna try to do some more riding. G/F is a new rider, so she is not that confident yet on some trails. But we are gonna go to Damascus and ride the old rail road bed. Easy trails but still fun. I'm not on too much anymore, but shoot me a PM if you want to go sometime.....

I live 20 mins south of buffalo but theres the railroad access roads we ride they go forever cops don't bother you if our not being ignorant and no lawns to cross. also me and a lot of my buddies ride from Lancaster ny way out. and I just discovered about 20 mins ago theres a "tri-country trail riders inc" (google them) their out of Lockport/sanborn NY they seem like a legit group from what I can tell $25/yr to join but from the pics I seen they have events with atv dirt drag racing and kids stuff too along with trail riding. im gunna go to one of their meetings soon and check it out. IF THERES ANY BUFFALO/WNY RIDERS ON GC pm me or something id like to get my group of 15-20 guys and girls to a lot bigger!

I'm new here to the forum, but have been riding trails in the Buffalo NY area for years. Pendelton NY has trails that go through Lockport Niagara Wheatfield and all over the niagara region which is what BDEBAR was talking about. Great mud trails! Also Grand Island has tons of snowmobiles trails that we ride all year round with never any issues. I've been to Majestic's PA which was tons of fun and I'd like to try Tall Pines this year. Its just outside of Alfred NY. I have to agree trails are very limited for us here. My friend also met some1 who rides the trails in lancaster which I'm looking forward to riding soon. I have land in Rushford NY but the cops harass you for no reason every year.
