breeze 125 mods

Hey all, bought 2 yamaha breeze today for my boys to ride. Both 2003. One runs n drives fine just needs brakes. Other was a parts bike but I'm gonna rebuild it. There's not much out there for breeze repairs/mods in the web. Heard blaster front disc brakes can be used to replace the Breeze drums. Anyone know what years to look at?
Any other help would be great! Love to mod them to something better than just using stock parts.
Cheers justin

My daughter has a grizzly 125, pretty sure the same as the breeeze. How did you do the front discs? I put new brakes all around, and they still suck ass. Like to put something better on....

Still sourcing parts. BUT here's what I've figured out.
2003-2006 blaster FRONT hubs, discs, calipers and hand controls all bolt on the front.
I'm still doing research for rear swap. People say use the blaster swingarm but the chain sprocket is on wrong side to use with our breeze grizzly 125. Gonna source one to see if I can flip the parts or spin the swingarm 180 degree.

I'very heard banshee/warrior front brakes are same also. YFZ caliper are different tho. (Bigger pads n calipers)
Will update when I have parts in hand.

Please post up when you do. For now, for her it's OK, but once she gets better and wants to go lil faster, she is gonna need better breaks. Good thing bout "disaster" parts, is there a dime a dozen.

Will do. There's not much documented info on the Web about this so I'll do up a build page with my findings. Cheers

Had a breeze 125 a few years ago and now have a grizzly 125 for my youngest.

Both had the following mods.

ITP Mudlights for the rear tires, worked much better where we ride.

Barkbusters and plastic hanguards.

Home made full skid plate. I know it's crazy, but I used a regular pizza box as a template, with it unfolded the lines on the pizza box lined up perfectly with the bends needed for the frame. Made the template, transferred it to steel plate and bent it up. 2 holes in the back to bolt it up, welded on small bracket on the front loop and bolted the front of the skid plate up. Saved both the bikes from the rocks a lot.

Look forward to you brake swap and the build your doing.
