LED light bar install help.

Ok fellas,

I'm trying to install a 12" led light bar and run it off a toggle switch and relay so I am able to turn it on whenever. I'm using a standard 5 pin relay, and a standard on/off switch with no neutral but my toggle has a center lug that says it's for "load". I'm following the diagram posted below, but no matter the switch position the light is always on. Do I just need a 2 post switch?

Post a pic of the terminals on your toggle. If it's SPDT, it's likely that from the center lug to either outside lug is what you're after.

Ok, tried to draw a diagram

I have 2 wired spliced together, the relay ground and the light bar ground. The long red power wire is going to battery, blue is the jumper wire to toggle, other wire coming off toggle is the power. Other 2 I'm unsure of I guess as well as the center "load" lug on the toggle

Illuminated? I would guess ground to ground, +12v to the power, and "load" to your relay. But, you may want to probe with an ohmmeter before hooking things up and potentially letting out the magic smoke.

Also, you may not need the relay. Inexpensive LED bars often use 1/3 the power they claim, that 25a toggle should easily handle the light bar by itself.
