Wet clutch shoe replacement ideas???

My son has a 2011 700 grizzly. We are rebuilding the engine top to bottom now. It needs new clutch shoes. .my question is Has anyone ever just changed out the shoes instead of the whole carrier. I can get some caltric shoes for 70 bucks. Is this a good idea or hell no. If not any recommendations on decent priced wet clutch. My drum has slight grooves that I was told is normal. Plan on reusing that. What do yall think about all this. Thanks

AS FAR AS I KNOW NO ONES SELLS THE SHOES BY THEMSELVES. THEY ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE 660'S THOUGH.

I EVEN TRIED A FEW COMPANIES TO SEE IF THEY COULD BOND NEW MATERIAL BUT HAD NO LUCK,
JUST BOUGHT OEM REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLED THE WET BRASS SLUGS. THAT ELIMINATED MY WET CLUTCH ISSUES FOR GOOD. I COULD BURN OUT WET CUTCH WITH MY 843CC IN 200-250KM'S

PUT THE WET SLUGS IN THERE FOR PIECE OF MIND. BEST $50 YOU WILL SPEND

Here is my wet clutch drum from 4000miles ago. Still going strong. If your looks like mine, then yes it is normal wear and reusable.
