Inspect the boot and wire really good for cracks or damage. Then put dielectric grease in the boot to prevent water intrusion.

The boot is form fit to the head, make sure it is aligned when you put the boot back on the plug and push it down firmly to seat.

Dielectric grease and make sure the boot is good condition and tight on the plug. And if youíre in water that deep itís a good idea to put dielectric grease on your electrical connections.
