Question Bruin starter issues

This horse has probably been beat to death but got to ask anyway. 06 Bruin, won't start with starter button. Red wire at solenoid has positive current, the 2 blue wires have positive until you hit the start button, then they go to ground. Solenoid still not engaging. What's my next move?
I read where someone cut the blue wires and worked around this type issue but didn't know for sure if it'd take safeties out of bike. (kids ride also)

Welcome from Colorado.
You seem to gave a mechanical problem. With a good starter button and power then grounded with the button I suspect a bad starter.
In my town we have a starter guy that load tests starters on his bench, to answer the question rebuild or replace.

I failed to mention I can jump the solenoid and it will start and run with no issues except the starter won't work with starter button. Lights work as should, I do notice the oil light comes on when you hit the start button.

If the started works jumped, i bet you have a chaffed wire somewhere.
