Angry bruin 350 overheating problem

Hi all. Have an overheating problem with my bruin 350.. the temp light comes on about half hour into my ride. more so when i go full throttle.... Funny thing is when i shut it off and wait to cool down and start it up again and start riding again sometimes the light doesnt come on..Oil is new, the oil cooler is clean, spark plug is new also.. Any body have this happen to them or any suggestions.. Please let me know thanks.. Getting frustrated when you have to stop in the middle of a great ride..

Does you fan turn on?
If not you may have a bad temp sending unit, this will cause your fan not to come on and will cause overheating. Check your connections and see if they are clean. If your fan does not run you can also use a jumper wire from your fan to the battery and see if the fan runs or not. If the fan runs you have a bad temp sending unit. Good luck

Thats good, in some cases if you use a heavier oil it will make the engine run warmer. It all depends on your riding conditions

on my BB it was always dirty oil.
You may also be running lean. check the air filter and fuel flow.
pull the plug and check for a white ash.

My BB was oil and air cooled.
If the oild is dirty or wrong type the machine looses oil cooling capacity.

On the BB
if it shifts hard - change the oil
if it overheats - change the oil
if it has a week spark - change the oil.

I did alot of riding and snow plowing with my BB and would change my oil twice a year.
I bought it used, rode it for 8 years (about 8,000km) and sold it for what I payed for it. It ran just as good the day I sold it as the day I bought it.
Hands down best machine ever...

if the fan operates it could be getting a bad signal from thermo switch, it could be running lean, or you could have a bad head gasket

well guys i changed the thermo switch this weekend and ran the machine. I didn't see the light come on but i still think its running a little too hot because i pointed one of those lazer thermometers on the head and it was reading about 290 degrees at the head.. Does anybody know what the engine temp is suppose to be.. Thanks..
