I found the spec, but now I need to know where to set the engine before timing.

 

You set the piston on TDC on the compression stroke.

 

Just take out the spark plug to feel compression building as you arrive at the T mark for TDC. If it's not building pressure as you arrive at the T mark, then the exhaust stroke is over and ready for intake stroke. One more turn of the flywheel will get you to the compression stroke as you approach the T mark.
valve clearance(cold) IN 0.06~0.1mm or (0.0024~0.0039in)
EX 0.16~0.20mm or (0.0063~0.0079in)
