I have a 1998 big bear 350 4wd. I have received 2 different All Balls Racing rear diff rebuild kits. In both, there is a bearing stamped with 6305. It's outside diameter is too small by about 3/8 of an inch compared to the one that came out.. The 3 other bearings match up. I have talked with someone at All Balls and he says that the 6305 bearing is what should be there. He thinks that the previous owner swapped rear diffs with an different model. I don't think so. I am going to go by his house this afternoon and see if he still lives there. I bought it about 18 years ago.

Just to be sure if the 10th digit in the VIN is a W, its a 1998 riight? That's what I got on several different VIN lookup sights, which is what he told me. When I bought it, it was only 3 or 4 years old. I wouldn't think that it would have needed a new diff that soon.

The first problem you might have is using 'all balls', have you tried looking for o.e.m. parts on partzilla?
