I bought a used '04 BB off a guy on CL. Upon further investigation of the front brakes, i found one of the front brake pads actually had holes in it (indicating lack of maintenance). Because of this the piston was destroyed. So now I am planning on buying a new piston. Do I also need to buy new o-rings or are the old ones ok? Also to install the new piston do I just slide it back into the caliper? Finally, when I took the broken piston off brake fluid came out the small hole. Does this mean I also need to put new brake fluid in and/or bleed the brakes? Thanks for the help!

Definitely replace the o-rings. You will have to bleed the system.
