So I have a red 2006 Kodiak that I am trying to buy replacement CV joints for because of the extreme wear. The issue being that to get the parts I need the YFM number, but the YFM number I get after entering the VIN is YFM400FWAN, which leads to a 400 4WD big bear. Anybody have this problem before? For reference, the VIN is 5Y4AJ15W66A302441.

Did you just get it? I'm sure someone on here will be able to fully identify what you have. Welcome to GC.

Nope, we got it back in 2006 and I know its a Kodiak but I can't find whether its a 750 or 450. Also thank you.

These are all of the models/versions of ATVs Yamaha sold in 2006. You can pull this info up on any Yamaha OEM part dealer, like partshark. There was a Kodiak 400 and 450 for that year but also a Big Bear 400.

Yeah, that's where I was looking to purchase the parts, the weird thing is that while the VIN said it was a 2006 model, it had a YFM number that isn't seen anywhere on this page. That and it labeled my Kodiak as a Big Bear, the only problem im having is that I cant find the exact model I need the CV Joints for, could anyone of the CV joints work from another Kodiak model on mine? Even if its a 400?
