It could be worn rod end parts or a simple as adjusting the shifter rod. Inspect the rod ends for worn or loose parts. Replace as required. If everything seems tight and operating smoothly, adjust the rod. Be careful with over-adjusting as if you adjust it too much towards low position, you'll have trouble selecting park position.
