The bike has been sitting for 6 months, turns over and tries to start but won't.
Drained fuel tank and fuel lines, replaced fuel injector, spark plug, and checked out ignition coil (good). Still no start, thinking maybe crankshaft position sensor. I just noticed that the dash board display lights up when key is turned on but there is no display (mph, hr. meter, or fault codes). As biking is starting the display seems to work but since bike won't start the display goes out. I'm beginning to worry ECU is bad, any ideas?

Ok, crankshaft position sensor checks ok, still will not start but if I continue holding start button, it will run but when I let off start button it dies. Still thinking ECU.

Welcome from Colorado.
Sorry for no one getting on this thread until today.
So the bike starts with the start button in, then dies when the button is released?
Like the coil loses power?
dezz will be by to help. He knows ignitions very well.
